With the profusion of vacant industrial and warehouse spaces, there are ample opportunities for low-overhead studio space rental. However, these spaces tend to be dirty, dusty, and potential damp environments un-conducive to the equipment-sensitive work of most artisans. At Design Fugitives, we had a similar issue. We’ve developed an inexpensive, yet beautiful buffer against our more noisome activities (and neighbors) without decreasing the flexibility an open-floor plan offers multi-disciplinary tasks.
