HOUSE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
@ BETTY BRINN CHILDREN’S MUSEUM
The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is dedicated to providing interactive exhibits and educational resources that promote the healthy development of children in their formative years—from birth through age ten. The Museum experience encourages hands-on learning and the development of fundamental skills, self-esteem, and the ability to work with others.
Conceptually designed by Betty Brinn staff, the “House Under Construction” exhibit required DF to rapidly produce comprehensive 3D modeling for client review and construction documentation. DF also undertook the exhibit’s complete fabrication within its studio/shop space, minimizing the interruption to the museum’s daily operations. Pre-assembly of components and connectors, designed for elevators and easy transport, greatly facilitated a successful and timely installation.
Based on the success of the exhibit’s fabrication and installation, DF was also contracted to design, prototype, and install several of the integrated exhibit interactives. These included hands-on electrical circuit and plumbing wall featurettes.
