The competition asked for:
Your design should be presented as a fully resolved product with apparent functionality, appealing aesthetics and a defined user. Be sure to aim for a retail price of approximately $150 or less with simple construction. Your solution should not rely on electronics or complex systems to provide functionality. Along with viability in the marketplace, be sure to consider manufacturability in your design.
